Without a doubt the most famous use of a Ford car in movie history.
The Ford Mustang played a starring role in the 1968 classic Bullitt, which is famous for having one of the all time great car chases.
It featured a 1960s Ford Mustang Fastback with 325bhp and only four gears screaming through the streets of San Francisco whilst chasing a '69 Dodge Charger.
These two all-time great muscle cars were not only doing battle on the screen but also on the forecourts.
This was the age of the muscle car and the major car manufacturers were competing for braggin rights with Ford, Dodge and Chevvy all releasing their V8 monsters at the same time.
The starring role in this car chase helped make sure the Mustang stayed at the front of the pack
