The Ford Mustang played a starring role in another one of the all time great car chases from the 2000 film, Gone in 60 Seconds.
One of 50 cars stolen in the film, the 1967 Mustang GT500 stole the show and became the most famous car of the film thanks to climactic car chase which featured Nicolas Cage in the Mustang being chased by police in a BMW 5-series.
In all a total of 11 Mustangs were used during the filming of Gone in 60 Seconds with two being destroyed in the closing car chase.
The remaining cars were sold on with one of them being sold earlier this year for an undisclosed fee but it is believed to be in excess of £100,000.
