3D Mode

Like seemingly half the movies in theaters today, 3D has become one of the in-things in the world of video games. Gran Turismo 5 is no exception to the trend since it includes a 3D mode. The 3D stereo support is arguably one of the top features of the game. For those with 3D HDTVs (and those who might buy them), this is certainly welcome news. Before the release of the game, the 3D stereo support feature was basically listed as an option, rather than a feature. That's likely due to 3D HDTVs being relatively new, and the fact that Sony has few games that support them. Still, it's definitely a welcome feature for those who want to experience the most realistic racing games possible.

The 3D Mode has received several favorable reviews from gamers. Many of them have observed that it's a feature that certainly makes an excellent game even better. For example, some players have noted that the elements in particular appear even more realistic when seen in the game's 3D Mode. Meanwhile, one of the drawbacks of the 3D Mode is that some scenes aren't viewable in 3D. Still, the pros of the special mode certainly outweigh the cons.
