Informal Hightlights of the rules are as follows

FOC FORUM RULES

It has been noted that the rules of FOC are rather spread out around the site. The purpose of this this post is to bring them all together in one place.

PROCEDURE FOR BREACHES OF THE RULES:

1. Informal warning by private message or on the board if appropriate

2. Formal warning through FOC's built warning system (three of these results in an automatic suspension or ban)

3. Suspension of account/posting ability

4. Ban

Moderators' discretion (in discussion with the rest of the team) will be used when deciding on an appropriate sanction.

ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR

Abusive posts directed at other members will not be tolerated. The posts will be removed or edited and the appropriate sanction as shown above will be used.

SWEARING

Swearing is not allowed on FOC - if you wouldn't hear it on television before 9pm then it's not appropriate here.

Please keep your language clean. Excessive use of bad language on the forum (at the moderators' discretion) will in the first instance result in a request to refrain either in your thread or by private message. Further use of bad language may result in a formal warning. Bad language directed at another member will be viewed as abusive behaviour and will not be tolerated.

Please note that starring letters out of swear words is viewed in the same light as using the words themselves.

ADVERTISING AND SPAM

All spam will be deleted without notice.

All advertisements unless previously cleared with the FOC management will be deleted without notice. This includes links in signatures.

Spam PMs are strictly prohibited. The management reserves the right to remove the PM capability from any member who sends spam through the PM system.

RADIO CODES

Radio codes are a banned subject on FOC. Posts requesting codes will be closed and the supply of codes will be dealt with in the same way as swearing, unauthorised selling and SPAM.

THE MANAGEMENT AND MODERATORS

The forum is managed and run by Steve. Any questions regarding advertising should be directed towards him.

He is assisted by Mark M.K and myself DanGull - Forum Managers

As of 17/01/2013 there are eight other active moderators on FOC - iNath, stef123, Fordpartsman, Stoney871, Alexp999, Jeebowhite, Lenny and TDCiST.

FOC REPRESENTATIVES

There are several members who have volunteered to act as area representative for FOC. Their role is to promote discussion between different areas for the country for organising meets. At present the list stands thus:

These reps are each responsible for an area of the country, or in a few cases a large area will be looked after by a number of reps - they will liaise with the meet coordinator and each other to organise meets.

Reps are expected to be regular posters on the forum - rep status will be reviewed periodically.

SELLING ITEMS ON FOC

We have a special area of FOC devoted to selling: Buy and Sell. Please use this area AND ONLY THIS AREA to post items for sale. A copy of the rules below can also be found in the and Buy and Sell area.

YOU MAY NOT POST A FOR SALE TOPIC/THREAD UNLESS YOU HAVE A POST COUNT OF MORE THAN 20 POSTS AND HAVE BEEN A MEMBER FOR MORE THAN A MONTH.

ANY THREADS POSTED BY NEW USERS WITH FEWER THAN 20 POSTS WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT WARNING.

Posts offering items for sale MUST include pictures of the actual items being sold.

This is designed to prevent the forum from being used as a dumping ground for selling links. ANY selling link or topic posted by ANY member will be reviewed and if deemed inappropriate or not in the spirit of the forum the post may be deleted.

THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO A WANTED SUBJECT. THERE WILL BE NO POST COUNT LIMIT FOR YOU TO BE ABLE TO POST A WANTED THREAD.ANY COMMERCIAL ADVERTISING MUST BE APPROVED BY THE FORUM MANAGEMENT - REGARDLESS OF POST COUNT.

All threads deemed to be against the rules and deleted are done so at Admin/Moderators own discretion.

Please also note that the rules on signatures are much the same as for posts. Commercial advertising in signatures is not allowed without the prior approval of the forum owner. Links to private sales within signatures are also restricted to those members who have been active within the community and have a post count greater than 20.
