Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  2. Depends on country. My car has halogen lights and headlight washers so I suspect it has the additional fluid reservoir.
  3. MK8 125bhp remap

I also got wind deflectors. They look fantastic in Black. The number plate bulbs are Led indeed. As an addition i 'd suggest a metal footrest to match the pedals.
  4. Focus ST Line X 140

Joe, looks good in black, looking forward to seeing more pictures. Do like those wheels.
  5. MK4 Titanium X Estate

Thanks for that. I did subsequently notice that the sport model had the jets in the bumper so figured that was probably the case. Shame the sport model mainly comes with the 2.2l which is renowned for being thirsty. For me, if it's gonna be a diesel, it's got to be economical.
  6. Number plate lights

Autobeam looks great thanks very much for that :)

  8. MK4 Titanium X Estate

I think the Xenons were an option on the Titanium X, (standard on the Titanium X Sport) the standard would be the AFS headlight (projector type that swivels when you turn the steering wheel. You should be able to find the sales brochures online to give you an idea on spec and options. Just have a Google.
  9. Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge or 8 Plus

I was looking at the S7 (not the edge) as the prices have gone low now to buy but the one big thing with me is the battery life,i don't use it a lot at all. No games/music just the open a app a few times a day like news/facebook etc,is the battery good on the S7 or is the S6 just as good. I aint a person who likes a lot bigger than the 5'' screen but the S8 looks an amazing phone and reviews looks spot on.
  10. Android 7.0 stopping news feeds.

I know there a lot of Android people on here, any of you had problems on a app stopping other notification sounds like no sound when item ending on ebay or outbid and amazon don't make a sound when item is being delivered, all setting are 100%.Im back to android after a few years and don't know all these problems.
  11. Saucy sandy

I have a ford focus titanium 1.6, my little problem is have the brake light on, all the time. This then knock the demister out-rear. Also the temperature is missing and lights come on for airbags and seatbelts.
  12. MK8 125bhp remap

No it doesn't but I'll keep an eye out for a set of wind deflectors, always wanted them on my old car but completely forgot about them. I'm not 100% sure atm but I think that my car has LED's for number plate bulbs.
  13. *** Fiesta 3 years warranty query

The warranty is for any parts that are defective and the labour to replace those parts. Not the labour to replace serviceable replacement items that are changed during a service. The terms are in the document. You can have warranty work done at any time - not just during routine servicing.
  14. Dilemma, What Would You Do?

I love my little 1 litre Focus, it's perfect for what I need, and the insurance was good for a first car. If i were to buy a new Focus however I'd probably get the 1.5, not because I find the 1.0 too slow, because generally it's perfectly nippy, but because I might as well have the extra power. Depends on your budget really, I'd test both (plus maybe the 140) and see if you think the 1.5 is worth the extra.
  15. Does Colour Matter?

Yep, I would only have a Candy Red Focus. Didn't like any of the other colours on offer. I waited for months until the right one came up, plenty of Race Red ones but not many Candy! One of the main reasons I like it, you don't see too many about. I only like cars with colour, I'll never buy a white, grey, silver or black car if I can help it.
  16. power loss 1.6 tdci

thanks peter.i managed to follow the hoses to the filter and the vacuum pump, its the one to the actuator thats hard to trace - the one i want to check! looks like its a case of removing several parts from off the right side of the engine engine. a bit of a headache unfortunately.

  18. Potential battery issues

they do like like new. and to think, you were convincing yourself you needed new ones.
  19. MK8 125bhp remap

The company will unfortunately say what it needs to to get a sale. Does the ST Line come with wind deflectors? If not I’d get a set of them and also change the number plate bulbs for LED ones. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. London roads are notorious for potholes [emoji24][emoji24]. My dad is always laughing at me for my careful driving (if it's safe to do so, I always slow down or drive around potholes and other bumps [emoji85]) BUT I still got an air leak when I was rolling on 15s with plenty of rubber on the tyres! It happens. Also didn't want to spend huge amounts on wheels as I know I'll probably want to change them soon and as [mention=85062]zain611[/mention] said, it's not like it's a necessity if it's not for repairs. I found mine on Gumtree - sometimes people just want to get rid of things and you can get a good deal [emoji5] Sent from my Phantom6 using Tapatalk
  21. *** Fiesta 3 years warranty query

Really I agree with principle of what biff55 said but I may not have used the exact words but Bheart's style of reply is not exactly commendable.
  22. Any guess on what these wires are?

Looking up the Metatrak t30, looks like it is possibly a company black box rather than an insurance one - talking about stolen vehicle tracking and vehicle health/etc. Might have been a company lease vehicle?
  23. Our Very Own Yplac Thread..

I do like to be thorough [emoji6] Hahaa! I do wonder whether she's already up at that time or wakes up specifically to go and move the car... They do generally put in lots of effort to inconvenience my mum and I out of our parking spaces! Oh, well that's a very civil approach. I was thinking of something more like... buying a Hummer and just booting them out of the way whenever I need to park up [emoji16][emoji56] Having said that, when I had 2 Fiestas (just bought one, waiting for a buyer for the other) we did sometimes have the opportunity to have my mum's car and both of mine in a convoy. And of course one Fiesta didn't move anywhere until it was sold [emoji57] Sent from my Phantom6 using Tapatalk
  24. DPF replacement, argh!

If it's a business you bought from (as a buy it now) you are covered by the consumer rights act (distance selling regs) and have the right to return it. PayPal currently have an offer on - "return shipping on us" which will refund your shipping costs for sending it back. You need to register for this offer though.

  27. If you could have any car

Very nice car mate but super expensive, and it wouldn't beat the GT-R from a standing start with launch control, always a rolling start.
  28. Weird Situation

Would the Citizens Advice Bureau be of any use? I’m not familiar with ACAS so don’t know how easy they are to access. Aside from motor vehicle insurance I’m sure the company will have public liability insurance too. I wonder if they are obliged to use one of their policies, and that being the case the excess should be less than the cost of repair. So while they may ask you to come to some sort of arrangement to part cover the excess with them, they cannot expect you to contribute to potential rises in future policies. Hopefully a satisfactory resolution will be found quickly for you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
