Alloy Wheels

Featured Replies

Hi, just joined up. Looking for info on tis subject. Just bought a 56 plate 1.6 TDCi last night. Doesn't have alloys though. There seem to be a lot of letters and numbers when I search for alloys on tinternet. My tyres are 205/55/16, 5 stud. I understand I can keep these tyres with 16" alloys or get 17" and drop to /40/17. Is that correct, and what letters / off set stuff do I need to know. Many thanks, G.

Hi!

Where are you looking at getting your wheels?

I dont know too much but im told offset means where the wheel sits in the arch, the number 205 is the width, 55 is the profile and the letter after the 16 is the speed rating of the wheel e.g T speed rating.

Hope this helps.
