Fixing All My Problems On My Escort?

Featured Replies

well people where should i start?????

i have just fixed my clutch on my car, i have just found out it has more problems to fix......:(

suspension on both sides need replaceing because when i turn full lock my tyres gets ripped on one side..

need new steering track rod also bushes...

new exhaust...

new bearings..

should i just get rid or fix how much would all this cost, the car is only worth 400 quid

mot runs out in july,

If i were you, i'd break it for parts.

You'll get a few quid for all the bits

Depends how much you can do yourself, if you don't need to pay someone else then, at a rough guess, £200 - £250 to fix what you've listed. If you like the car then it's worth it compared to replacing it with another £400 car. I would put it in for test 30 days before it expires & see how big the list is before deciding.

When you say suspension on both sides, do you know if the problem is with the shocks or springs or could it be both??

I think you could sort all that for £200 at extreme tops if you do the work yourself, if you shop around for parts and get some of Escorts being broken you could even look at doing it all for £150.

Depends how experienced you are.
