RAPID FIT CUSTOMER BUYS A TYRE – AND WINS A CAR!

BRENTWOOD, 21 April, 2004 – A Ford Rapid Fit customer has won a brand new Ford Ka, simply by having a Pirelli tyre fitted at his local Rapid Fit branch. Customers of the award winning fast-fit network were invited to enter a free prize draw when they bought any Pirelli tyre – and Keith Sampson, a customer of the Rapid Fit outlet at Taw Garages, Barnstaple, Devon, was the lucky winner.

Entrants could either complete a questionnaire or send a text message by mobile phone – a method that proved to be very popular. Keith Sampson’s entry was first out of the hat, while runners-up won track day places, Pirelli calendars and Pirelli baseball caps. The star prize was presented to Mr Sampson at Taw Garages, with Ford Rapid Fit National Manager Rob Hutchinson in attendance.

"We were delighted with the level of interest shown in the prize draw throughout the UK," said Hutchinson. "It was great to team up with Pirelli, one of our many high-quality partner suppliers, and there are more competitions and promotions in the pipeline."
