Escirt Td Endura Vacuum Pump Help

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I own a Escort TD Ghia Estate. I was driving home one night and my brake pedal went really hard, i also had very little brakes either. I found the problem to be the vacuum pump, the bottom bolt looks like it had rattled out and it snapped the top bold off, so i went to the scrappy and got one, but im having trouble fitting it as the rod that comes out of the engine wont allow me to get the bolts into the vacuum pump because it wont go back into the engine far enoguh. Ho[pe someone can help. Thanx Sean

Try turning the engine over by hand to get the rod to go back in, allowing you to fit the pump.
