I have just bought my wife aN Escort Mk 6 - S reg, and she is complaining about the clutch being too high when she drives and stalling the car. I drove it the other day and yes i keep banging my knee off the steering wheel.

Can anyone tell me if i can adjust the clutch pedel to lower it slightly, so she does not have the problem and i do not bang my knee off the steering wheel?

I have heard that there is a small allen screw that i can adjust on the pedel, but have not had a chance to loom yet.

Cheers

It's a 6mm allen key you need. Halfway up the clutch pedal is an allen headed screw sticking out. UNSCREW this until the pedal drops to the correct height.

Where is this adjustment screw located?
