THe fan control in my escort van has stopped working. You can twist the dial but they don't turn on.

Does anyone know what the problem might be and how you can fix it.

Even how to take the dash board off would be a help.

    Could be the resistor on the heater fan motor. If you know someone with the same van see if you can try their resistor on your heater fan motor, if it works, yours is a duffer but cheap to buy a new resistor. The heater fan motor should sit under your windscreen somewhere but i`m not sure if access would be from inside the car or from the engine compartment.
