6000Cd Radio Has Stopped Working

Hi. I recently bought a 2002 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec. The CD player and radio have been working fine for the last 3 months. All of a sudden last week the radio stopped working. You can hear the hiss on AM but it will not pick up any stations on AM or FM. It just says seeking and never finds anything. The CD however works find.

I have taken the stereo out to check all the connections (including the aerial) and reconnected. And have also removed the roof aerial and re attached. I still get nothing.

Is this a common problem and does anyone have some advise on how to fix it?
