2.0 Zetec Hunting

Featured Replies

I have a 1999 Ford Cougar 2.0 zetec. The engine begins to hunt while at cruising speed usually as the revs drop off. The engine has no problem at idle or when cold. It also has no lack of power. I have changed the plugs, plug leads and coil pack. Any help would be a great help. Thanks.

Come on folks!!!! Someone must have had this problem before. As the car cruises along it starts to bump bump bump. Cleaned the sensor in the air intake but still no good. Any ideas please. Thanks.

Check the lengths and "T" piece of hose on the PCV system these can split and give air ingress, also check the pcv valve has not stuck, when removed it should rattle.

Thats it sorted. The hose was soft and was sucking itself flat. Probably spilt as well. Thanks for taking the time to help me out. Cheers.
