Looking for details on Air Intake Mod

Featured Replies

Hi,

How times have changed.

I have a 1800 SI on a 98 plate. I was going to attach a K&N cone that I was given, but between the Airbox and Carb, is a metal section with a blackbox on it with wires attached? I lift out the panel filter and see another pipe with a little foam filter at the left hand side of the box??? Whats that for? Don't know 'bout you guy's, but how can I attach my cone and drain pipe??

Whats your technique for making the NA breath? Whilst were at it, I've heard theres some math involved in pipe length, 125% x engine capacity in CCs... not sure where I heard it?? Short ram is what I'd need, I expect. Want to improve low rev range.

Thanks iuserford:)
