Wickwick10_1
Got a new 61 plate Titanium and had keyless fitted , sometimes I have to press drivers door button more than once to lock ? Is it a button or is it a sensor and is it something I am doing wrong ?
cuke
Hi, I think it is more of a technique or a 'knack' to it. If you're not sure than take the car back to the dealership. Chris
Preee
Usually once to lock , twice to double lock. Button on mine but i think yours may be a sensor. Do you have the same trouble if you lock via passenger door button?, as you may have fault on the drivers side

cuke
Hi, I doubt if the system on the Mk3 is exactly the same as the Mk2.5 and if you have to do that on a new car then a trip to the dealership is definantly needed. Mine is in on weds to have the front passenger door sensor replaced as its never worked from new. Nice to see PDA's being done throughly, not. Tech
I rub my finger along the black sensor on the door handle instead of pressing it seams to work better.

Bag of !Removed! tho personally and wish I had had another extra instead ! Hi Wickwick10_1 I'd already posted this about my car. The keyless entry does seem a bit hit and miss sometimes. I normally revert to using the fob as standard. I'm along with you thinking another extra would have been better but I wanted the privacy glass from Day 1 so had to have keyless. james_60
Hi I dont find it hard to believe that the system is the same. It is the same Jamie
cuke
Hi, maybe the handles and the sensor, however are the electronics the same. Plus the OP is talking about a new Mk3 car not one that has more mileage and possibly out of warrenty. Chris
james_60
Hi out of warranty ? It was registered in february 12800 miles Jamie

Chris Interesting ? I sometimes have to touch mine 3 or 4 times to lock then the same to double lock ? Other times straight away ?
cuke
Hi, I found that with the double lock you have to wait for about 3 secs between presses, the salesperson showed me how. It was him that found out th passenger door sensor wasn't working as I don't use it. Chris

cuke
Hi, whatever, rather getting to be a pointless thread now. Thing is you pay for a warrenty, if you're too lazy to take the car in to have it fixed then that's up to you but personally, I feel that if there are problems with the car, Ford need to know in case it repeats itself across the range, then they can raise a TSB on it. Otherwise how else are they meant to fix something you've complained about in this forum. Chris

I change the car every 9 months so will spend money on a differant extra next time lol 😃
