shanemarsh
Hi, the tailgate handle on my 56 plate focus estate has cracked and i dont want to give ford £118 plus vat for the plastic handle without switch or numberplate lights. Ive struggled to find any on eBay, usually have to buy the whole door, but ive seen alot of c-max handles and they look just the same, so can anyone shed any light ? are these the same handles ? Thanks for any help.

Hi Welcome to the forum, If you get a momment take some pictures of the part, i have removed the boot panel on my focus before and i have an idea of how they look and may be able to advise you on a replacment part. then join photobucketand upload the picture's, you can then link them to this forum, once uploaded go to Album, below or above each picture on photobucket is an Image URL copy this URL and paste it in to your posts once pasted in the post remove the .img from either side of the link then its job done, also check out DMB Graphics for Ford badge Overlays and vintage Decals Click Here check under the footwells for bulb sockets, to fit footwell lights. and see my guides listed below this post you may find some of Interest. Hope this helps mate B)
jeebowhite
The general architecture of the Focus / vs / CMAX is generally the same, however the only thing I can advise is measure before you commit, and if you arent too sure, check out a local scrappy! better to buy one of a Focus thats been damaged (leaving that part intact) as if you damage it you havent wasted 118 quid doing so, plus you could pick one up from the Focus Sibling that you believe might fit - may only cost you a fiver or tenner to find that it fits perfect / not
shanemarsh
Ok so fixed the problem of broken handle, found a spot in germany Tuning-Bombe, £27 for a stainless steel cover to fit over the plastic handle, looks chrome and fantastic so ordered full set of chrome door handle covers to match. For such a small outlay the car looks so different, im well chuffed. :)
