Ash88lfc
Hi can anybody help me regarding a new spoiler i have purchased. My car (pictured below) is this an MK2.5 model?? sounds daft but im unsure. Anyway the spoiler i have just purchased says MK4 (pictured below) BUT it looks like it will fit. Only purchased it because it was a bargain at 99p AND my car colour Sea Grey, so hard to get parts this colour already painted Big help thanks. Ash88lfc
just checked over it now. Yours is the same as mine conversion wise. The new spoiler looks like its going/or is going to cover the top part of the lights left and right. did you get new ones or does this not matter. It doesn't matter - the top part of the lights doesn't actually function anyway (no bulbs behind there), just a reflector, if anything. Your car is a mk2.5, and I'm guessing that it's either a Studio, Style or ECOnetic trim level. The spoiler you've purchased is from the exact same car, but it is only standard in the Zetec/Titanium trim levels. It's a genuine Ford spoiler designed for your car, but in a different trim level, so no need to change the lights or anything of the sort. Your new spoiler is pretty much the same as the old one apart from those flappy bits that stick out and cover the top of the lights - and of course, that it's body-coloured. GSM
Best of luck to you! The difference that those little flaps make is absolutely amazing. Before I did mine I was also planning on buying the mk2.5 lights (all white, instead of half white half red like the mk2 ones), but as soon as I put on the mk2.5 spoiler I realised that the lights on the mk2 actually look excellent with that bit at the top covered up by the spoiler. I actually think I prefer the mk2 lights to the mk2.5 ones now. They look the same at night anyway and during the day you can still make out the two-tone, which you can't with the new lights. The whole rear of the car is transformed, looks a lot better. Looking forward to your pics. Here's how mine looked after the spoiler:

Ash88lfc
Oh i thought you were on about the other type lights with black around bulb type. must be st/rs style.
GSM
Oh i thought you were on about the other type lights with black around bulb type. must be st/rs style. Nah, they just look ugly and boy racerish! Don't think they're standard on anything. ST/RS lights are similar to the mk2.5 of yours, but LED-based, with the indicator light dualing up as a tail-light/brake light and with a lovely different pattern on them!
