itsme
Hi guys, my first post on here so be gentle with me :) I'm looking at changing my 6000 to this http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-kenwood-dpx-404u_p-27105.htm I seem to be getting conflicting answers so I hope I'll get the one I need here. Do I need any fascia as it seems to be the same size as the 6000? I was looking at this but I'm not even sure if I would need it http://www.ebay.com/itm/350504251336 The harness seems to be between £25-30 anyone knoe anywere better? Stoney871
You will need a fitting kit as the radio is slightly smaller than a standard Ford double din unit. A kit will contain an aerial adaptor, loom adaptor, Steering control interface, fascia spacers and a shallower cage than the one that will come with that radio which will usually be about 10mm too long. You have two options really, you can stick with the adaptors/spacers that will come withan installation kit and use your original fascia or buy the one you linked to which will fit around the new radio exactly. Stoney871
You will probably need this kit. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=350686296641 Also if you look around the forum for Brigante, he recently fitted an aftermarket radio so it may well be useful to pick his brains.
