Danno7
Hello Sorry if this has been covered before but i'm a Newbie. I have just got a 05 Focus Zetec. It has a Ford 6000 CD Stereo in it. My problem is this. When i listen to MW, there is background interference like an old radio would give you (Buzzing, crackling etc). It gets worse when i am revving the engine or driving along (as i speed up, the noises get louder) ! I have read that this stereo has a signal booster? Is this true and if so, where is it ? Or could it simply be the aerial (which seems glued on tight) ? If i need to remove the stereo to sort these annoying noise's, i do have the 4 Removal keys. By the way, FM is fine. Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks Danny.

Every car I've owned has never had a good MW reception :-(
Danno7
Yes this is true of MW but in my old 1998 Escort with an older 6000cd in the reception was much clearer. I listen to MW for the Football coverage (Radio 5 & Talksport). It is just so crackerly now and i was hoping to improve it ? Is there a Signal Booster ? Anyone ? Thanks.
