i have recently bought an xr3i cabriolet (1988) the battery on it now seems a little dodgy now the bad weather is here and it states on if 12v 45ah

when checking what battery i need ideally it needs to be 12v 60ah

but i have a battery which is only a few months old what i took off my diesel van and it is a 12v 75ah

am i ok to put this battery on my car ? or would it cause any damage

as far as im aware aslong as its a 12v the bigger ah is for holding the charge longer can anyone advise me please thankyou

    if both batteries are standard lead acid type then it will be fine. just means you have more capacity which isnt a bad thing.
