    Flushing Oil

I wouldn't flush an old engine, having a bit of crap in there can help stop leaks etc. I think it's far better to do regular oil changes with top quality oil.

How are the cree's going to work though? Unless there is a halogen inside with just the top showing, but still, the LED is no way suitable for using as full beam

Time On Post Not With Computer

Hi, I am possibly being stupid (it has been known), and I am aware I am still a 'newbie' but I have just posted a reply to my topic in the Welcome section and noticed the time on the post said I posted at 01:16pm, but my computer was showing 13:06. I realise it's probably not an issue, but wondered if it had been noticed before? Regards, Matt

Seriously, you will NEVER get near ST power from your car, and any noticeable changes in performance will cost mega money, even then its not going to be much, and may not be reliable. Much better swapping cars, than throwing ( in my opinion) wasted money at a car that is never gonna be quick.

    Fiesta Flame

Hi Thomas, take it back and tell them outright that you are rejecting the vehicle under the sale of goods act unless they sort the leak and within a reasonable time. Doesnt matter how hard the job is, they have a dutry under the sale of goods act to resolve this issue or give you a full refund for the car.

if the old one has ceased you will need to flush the sysytem before fitting anything a mobile aircon specialist will flush the system and fit special filters to ensure fragments dont damage the new pump should any still bein the sytem if you simply fit the pump youll get about a month out of it trust me made this mistake with my passat and caused even more damage to the point it would cost £1300 to have the aircon fixed

    Battery/alternator Warning Light

an update on my problem. after new alternator, new battery and new multi-meter. the problem turned out to be a broken red wire in the smart charging system loom leading from the alternator. a bit of solder and shrink and now all sorted. i guess the lesson being ''dont jump to the replacement parts '' idea too soon. solder is certainly cheaper the alternators. oh well a happy bunny here :) you were right on the money stoney87 much kudos to you thanks terry

    Flushing Oil

I'm with James 100%. There should be no need to flush unless you have reason to do so. Just use a quality oil and change it regularly

    Dpf

Cheers Lenny as always ....... so i think the best thing for me to do is get the remap and have the Dpf removed from the ecu...then go straight to my mates garage and do the DPF ...that way i know i'm not going to do any damage to anything....why do they have to put such silly things on modern day cars.....silly ...silly....the EU have alot to answer for..

cheers lenny....ok there is 1 SENSOR ,and no pipes going to the exhaust ...... it does have the eloys system.. but it's squirted in the fuel in the tank.....so i've been told. Does he not have to delete the Dpf of the ecu ....? And he said it take about an hour to the remap....?

    Zetec S Alloy Questions

This is mine on 17"s (not standard). Also has stiffer suspension, can't go over speed bumps at any more than 10mph and when I hit a pothole it feels like the car is going to fall apart lol but you get used to it Sent from my SM-G900F using Ford OC mobile app

    Zetec S Alloy Questions

They're not back breaking, but you know when you've hit a pothole put it that way. I'd say the ride was firm on my S1600 and the alloys themselves are pretty weak. There's been plenty of horror stories and I suffered a buckled alloy myself, despite hitting much worse potholes in previous cars with no damage.
