hi new on here just bought 51 plate tdci focus mk1 facelift 169k fsh drives great but just had glow plug warning light flash on/off whilst driving causing loss of power ?? any ideas thanks

quite simply it means there is a fault in the system and should be scanned on a code reader or by ford as persistent driving with it [b][u]could [/u][/b]cause engine damage the loss of power means the car is in limp mode this prevents serious engine damage to the car you may have starting issues etc while its like this it can be anything from a fuel sensor to fuel rail pump etc etc if you boiught it from a garage ide advise take it back and let them know if it was private and im not saying this is the case but in my experience theres an expensive fault needing repaired hence why they sold it you must have it looked at asap and avoid driving it till you do
