Hi Guys,

When accelerating up a hill in 4th at approx 3000 rpm, the car basically dies!! - no turbo etc.

The coil light on the dash flashes approx once a second.

Turn the ignition of then back on again and its fine again.

It only seems to happen on this particluar hill in my area. And only happens now and then.

Any ideas on what could be causing it?

when the car dies do u get a loud hiss noise just as she dies. i had this but though in limp mode my car would still run. it turned out to be a massive split in the intercooler pipe that goes into the bottom of the egr. it did occur at high revs also.
