Sorry guys i had to share this i think its hilarious what jermery sais about the focus he talks about it as if its a scaled down version of god and i espesh love the part when he sais "it dosent feel like a ford in here" yet just before i bought mine nearly 2yr back i read a review on parkers where they said the plastics were crap, love the press.

On another note how is everyones focus holding out any squeeks and rattles etc?

had one squeek turned out to be the boot catch needing a bit of lube other than that nowt i agree with clarkson someone at ford has been thinking long and hard about the design shame thay fell asleep and went into a coma after that lol all they ever did after that was steal design cues from the originakl focus for other designs sad really as ford had it all in the palm of there hand i watched the other clip below that one the 10 worst cars a ford escort cabriolet and the ford scorpio have to agree there as well

Father has a 1999 MKI Zetec 1.8 and it's been practically perfect (knock wood). No rattles, squeaks or major mechanical issues - just the regular (tyres, discs, pads, cam belt, aircon re-gas). It's done almost 70k miles now and still going strong and not a patch of rust due to bad design (just a spot on the bonnet from a very large stone chip).

followed that link and got lost in a sea of old top gear reviews! How times change-Clarkson on the Mk 4 Astra-'latest offering from GM who have more money than god' that's certainly not true any more! One thing about the mark 1 is how well its aged, compared it to its rivals at the time such as the astra, corolla etc. the mark 1 exterior still looks fresh.

i nk its because it still looks like nothing else new cars now are all the same no difference between the new ka and the fiat as they are the same the new corsas look like every other car and the focus still stands out that in my opinion is where ford have gone wrong even the new focus for 2011 looks like the kia ceed citroen have the idea bringing out wacky looking cars

After going out today with the mrs and stopping of for a bite on the way home at mackies because we the oh so classey teens of the modern age :P the little blue mk1 shone like a star in the carpark even though its currently covered in cow crap and mud surrounded by all the s**t head chav's in there vauxhalls with the loud exhausts with the mighty 1.0 12v under the bonnit rattling like a blender full of stones.

This is where im going to sound like ive lost my marbles.
Sometimes it takes things like that to make u realise how lucky you are to own a little mk1 focus there trusty dependable fast little cars that drive like a dream and when you take a step back there actually really good looking like most of the fords from that generation (mk3 mondeo, puma, cougar). I just wish mine went like an rs.

I got lost on youtube looking through the old top gear clips spent hours on there i really miss the old days just wish they combined the road tests with the challanges then i think theyd be onto a winner.
