How come the compression ratio on my focus 1.8 Petrol (2007) has a higher compression ratio (10.8) than the RS with 8.5. Does that mean that mine will respond better under performance fuel.
I will let you know how it perform under shell v-power.

quite simply because you dont have a turbocharger the rs does therefore compression ratio has to be reduced to take into account the pressure youre car will have no effect on performance fuel it will make no power difference it may give you a few extra mpg and i mean 2 or 3 extra but other than that thats it its only usefull to put in once in a while as it contains injector cleaner in it but thats it though ive found most believe its quicker because thaey have put performance fuel in it would take at least a few tanks to clear the old fuel out the system its a fact only turbo charged cars will have any performance response under performance fuels

there are other high performance cars out there with higher compression ratio than mine and are turbocharged as well...

it all depends on the amount of boost the turbo gives based on that the compression can be higher or lower higher compression as standard usually equals less boost
