Right hello again all im back with a venagance after a period of silence on here so brace yuorselvs muahah, Right so heres the story my beloved crap heap is due its 6yr mot and minor service on thursday and theres a few things im not sure about it passing weather or not so:

[*]brake judder will it fail on this i have a set of replacment front discs and pads sat in the garage that are wating to go on (hopefully saturday)
[*]my headlights arent level'd correctly at all and act more as fog lights than headlights
[*]the millage is out, should be reading approx 52,000 where as its currently reading approx 6,780
[*]The exhaust system, my car has a full sportex cat-back race system on i have no question it will pass on emmisions no bother but the noise it makes is rather loud do they noise test mot's?

Cheers for the replys guys and cheers to those of you who commented on my last topic about brakes i ended up not bothering with the back and bought a set of none drilled or grooved mintex front discs and matching pads so will see how things go with them!

the brakes and pads need done as they will fail the mileage they wont bother about and if you do you tell them the clocks were faulty the exhaust is up to the station some may fail some may pass theres no way to know

headlights need done as thats an auto matic fail so may be worth telling them and paying to get them adjusted before or during the mot

as above really,

the headlights will fail if the beam isnt right but as they only take a few minutes to sort, the tester will be able to put that into the computer and print off 2 certificates (one pass and one fail), this is what usually happens for bulbs, wipers etc

Ive rung my cusin (hes an mot tester) and he knows about the clocks along with the judder so said not to worry about them he went abit quiet when i mentioned the exhaust though *gulps* as for the headlights ive been meaning to do them for a while il HAVE to do it tonight, will just be a rough job as il match the beam to the 220 and when its in il ask him to neaten it up abit

It got failed last year because i had a set of blue sidelight bulbs in ... wasnt very funny at the time lol

rtunatly mine passed on the sidelight bulbs as they light up pure white with no blue many testers now are failing lights if they have a bklue tinge my mates golf was failed yesterday as the drls he installed do not automatically go off with the high beam activated aws they must do so that was a fail he tried removing the fuse but was told it either has to be wired up correctly or removed as for the exhaust its all down to the station some dont bother some do my mates mate owns an mot station and he now has to fail them if they are too loud

I've got the ice white sides in mine but i have the xeon effect headlights which admitadly do have the bluey purpley tinge to them if it fails because of them i swear down il see my arse! lol dont drl's have to dip to when the indicator is switched on, seen audi's do this before

theres a lot of stuff drls have to do cant remember them all though i did put a post up with info ages ago not worth the haslle they look good when they are new and rare but when you have corsas etc with them on you know theyve just become a chav gimmick to have on the car as long as the beam patterns fine the lights will easily pass headlights are allowed a slight tinge to them
