Hi everyone i have a 1999 ford escort van 1.8d and i recently have lost my keys to the van, and if you was wondering i havent stole it i have the logbook and it is parked in my drive, i am just wondering what i need to do to get it going, i can get an ignition from the scrapyard but i dont know what else i need to fix it as it has an immobiliser. Can anyone help me cheers

Hi mate, you will need the following but must be all out the same vehicle, the chipped key, the ignition barrel, the transpoder (that goes around the barrel, black or brown plastic), behind the dash were the glove box is, theres a little black box in a metal cage, its a bit fiddle to get but not in possible, this is the immobiliser box, fit all of that to your mate and you'll be back on the road, oh and might wanna get the door locks at the same time, hope this helps,

Is the immobiliser not paired with the fuel pump on the diesel engines? Worth checking with someone that knows more than me, before you spend any money.

good locksmith should be able to match a key with door lock
then reprogram the new key to your van not cheep though
