Would like to replace my standard gear knob on my 08 Focus how do i remove the exsisiting gear Knob?

I'm not sure if your gear lever is a lift up reverse??

It could be one of two ways.

1) It simply unscrews.

2) You should have a silver surround which would be able to unclip and removes the whole bag, but you will have to unscrew the gear lever until it goes no more before removing the surround and bag.
