well this problem has just started tonight. i was driving along and then the car started chugging really badly and the battery and oil warning lights came on. the car started to cut out. can anyone shed light on this problem?? also i put £35 worth of petrol in it on friday and it has only done 190 miles??

try and mix your fuel with shell v-power. it could be that you have filled up with poor quality fuel.

how old is the car? 1.6 petrol focus's have a problem for water leaking onto the head, pull out a plug lead and check for water in where the plugs sit.

its just over 8 year old(2002 model) water leaking on to the cylinder head? why would that lead to oil and battery lights coming on and then a serious loss of power and chugging??

sorry, its a problem with the mk2 focus. the lights are on because the engines stalling/cutting out. is it still happening?
