2000 (X) Ka 1.3i. regularly serviced etc. Starts fine, drive 1 mile or 50 miles then stop. Buy a paper or go for a leak, car won't restart. Turns over (battery fine) but wont start. Leave for 10/15 minutes & she starts 1st time!!
Crank sensor replaced, plenty of fresh coolant, no fault codes when serviced. Anyone got any ideas? Fuel vapourising? Distance driven has no bearing, doesn't do it all time, but always starts after "cooling down"

is there a heater sensor off the radiator or off the thermostat ?
that could be faulty & giving a fault to the tep of water etc.
the garage dont always pic it up so i would change the sensor

Could be vapour lock. Next time it happens take the fuel cap off then try and start it without waiting any time. If it fires up that's your problem!
