hi yall
i did the unspeakable while filling up and put in petrol instead of diesel.
i put about 10L petrol into a 60L tank so i just topped it up with diesel.
can any1 tell me what damage this will do to any pumps/engine.
its a 2.0tddi with around 150k on the clock

if you drove the car it may or may not have done lots of damage, petrol removes the lubrication propeties of diesel,so lift/fuel pump and injectors may have got damaged, without inspection it hard to say. read more here.

rule 1 with that amount of petrol you simply dont drive it i saw a toyota dealer at my old work do that and they wouldnt let him drive it the 300 yards to the dealership door it was for a customer it was towed the tank drained etc all you did by topping it up is waste diesel as it will all need to be drained and disposed off
