i was just looking at army ammo boxes as an idea for tool boxes and wandering if they would fit in the van well. i have an escortvan and i would be interested to know if anyone has tryed this idea out and if they had any sucess with them? it was the big ones i was thinking about. like bazuka boxes and mortar carriers. thanks

Ive used them as storage boxes, they are good, we used the 30mm ammo boxes for storage and they look pretty good too! Just remember if you use them, you are meant to make clear on the boxes that there are no live rounds still in the container...

I have an old ww2 one in the shed .I use it to keep bits that wont fit into any of my toolbox's.Nothing inside it can get damaged as its very strong. I found it years ago (Empty) in an old attic of a derelict house that I was helping a mate rebuild..
