The title says it all really. I've pressed, pushed, nudged, thumped, sworn, cursed and still the lid won't open. Is there a secret spot that needs to be pressed perhaps?

in my owners guide it say just push down towards the front to open and close, it is self latching, this is all it says on opening.

Thanks Alan. I guess I'll have to visit a Ford dealer and ask to look at the cover so I can see what's what before I start applying any mechanical force.
