When i lock my doors by remote they lock then unlock. All other functions work properly. I have to lock doors by key then put deadlocks on by remote. Anybody have any idea what the problem is please. It's a Ford Focus Saloon 03 plate.

have you tried pressing the lock button two times,

this is how it normally works

(one) locks doors
(two) activates the dead lock, indicators lights should flash

Yeah...when i press the lock button the first time the doors lock then unlock....so i have to use the key to lock them

try un pluging the battery for 10 mins to reset the ecu may work. if not you may need a new locking module

check all the doors to see if you have a sticking lock, this happend to me when it was icy and one of the rear door locks froze every time i lock it,it opened right away had to unfreeze the lock before it would lock,
