Hi all, i am considering buying a mondeo hatch/estate 2.0/2.2 tdci for towing my caravan, [1400kg] and was wondering which would suit me best and which engine/spec level of mondeo to go for, looking at spending up to about 6k on one, also anything i should be looking for [know prob areas] when purchasing,

2.2tdci is ideal, especially in ST form

Also have a look at the mk4 mondeo 2.5T petrol. A early high mileage car might be just in your budget. It won What Car tow car of the year a couple of years ago.
