just decided to do a oil change with fully synth 5w30 Magnatec oil

i bought 4 L of it and put it in after a full drain. left the plug open for about 2 - 3 hours

the 4 L only brought it up to just onto the grid on the dip stick

how much you recon.

i heard 5.6 L? much more should i add

As long as it is above the MIN mark and it doesn't burn oil, you can safely drive it until you get more oil, so no rush. But I would say about 1-1.5 litres from the MIN to the MAX mark.

It should be 5L and 5.6L if you change the oil filter.
I ended up geting 2 of the 4L castrol from Adsa £24 each.As its recommend by ford why dont they sell it in 5.6L or at least 5L cans

you should always change the filter when changing the oil, if not you instantly contaminate your fresh oil that you just paid for!

plus your under the car anyway to release the drain plug, might aswell spend the £6 and 30 mins getting the filter off
