Hi, All, New on here, looking for some help.
Mondeo diesel. LX TDCI year 2004.
When driving the glow plug light starts flashing, lose of power.
If I turn off the engine and back on sometimes it clears but it is getting worse.
Took it to local garage, of course it would not do it for them!
they checked and said there were no error codes showing.
Can anyone advise?
Regards Brian

sound like your car is going into limp home mode, there should be a code stored,2004 is when obd2 came in on the diesels so if its an early model they might need a different reader to get the codes.

Hi Trebby91
could well be low fuel rail pressure.(glow plug warning light is an indication of this)
may be worth checking fuel pump.

I don't know if this is the same but Ihad glow plug coming on and stalling at 70mph. Initially would start straight away then had to wait. Garage couldnt find anything on computer as codes were cleared after so many ingitions ( apparently). Looked online and it turned out to be camshaft position sensor - £15 and easy swap.
