Hi all, thanks for helping me in advance:

This morning when i started driving, I heard this really annoying squeal from the left side of the car. I thought it was cold so something need to warm up to not squeal. Stuck in the traffic jam, the slow start and stop made this squeal heard more clearly. and later today when i drove back home, i heard its coming from the left front wheel. whenever i go through a right turn, it squeals like something want to come off or something is scratching. PLEASE HELP PLEASE HELP...I really need this car for work and taking kids to school.

Thank You

Thanks for the reply:

I am not sure if its the brake pads, because when I brake at those traffic jams, there's no squeal at all. It is when i start to let the car move, that's when the squeal comes in. Also it does gets loud when i just let the car move forward without acceleration. Would it be something to do with barrings or the wheels or something scratching near the front wheel part of the car? I hope these details will help.

Please Help.

Is it knocking over bumps or just the squeal?

Reason I ask is I've got the same.

But mine Knocks when over bumps.

Hi, the squealing i think is coming from the front left wheel bearing. i search the web and it all makes sense. Usual wear and tear, just need to get them replaced. Another symptom of bad wheel bearing is very loose wheel, like when you jack the car up and push the wheel, it will move about all over the place. It there's knocks coming from your wheels, Better get your car checked by a mechanic.

Thanks

I thought mine was the anti Roll bar drop links but changing them didn't make any difference.

I suspect it's the CV joint or boot has gone.

Gonna take the wheel off tomorrow but yes it's going to the garage.
