Hi all . I have a problem with the rear tail gate lock .There are 2 rubber booted 'switches' that open the hatch from the outside, these are located in the number plate light panel . When the damp weather sets in I get this problem with unlocking the hatch . Is there a gasket or seal of some kind behind this panel which I can replace as it seems that water finds its way in behind the panel and upsets the rear hatch unlocking .When the temperature reaches freezing the switches don't operate the hatch at all and they feel frozen and also the remote switch on the center console doesn't open the rear hatch but the button on the key opens it and locks it every time without any problem.When the temp goes up and they dry out a bit they will operate again ,including the inside remote switch.Any ideas much appreciated

suggest when you get a chance (pref summer). get a hairdryer to the switches once you have dried them out a little silicone sealent around any openings or cracks should keep the damp out. make sure they are dry first.
