How to know which engine I have with these codes.
I have an Escort 1.8td. How to know which engine I have. I found on the internet that they have codes. RFD, RFK, RVA, RTH, RFS. Where is it located on the engine?

Can't be sure of the engine # location on your 1.8D...but on my 1.8 petrol the # is on the right hand side of cylinder head just above the thermostat..

If its not there suggest you consult a "Haynes" Escort Service Book applicable to your year and model, where you will (Should) find the info under the

"GENERAL Repair Proceedures" section "Vehicle Identification"..............Hope this may be of some help to you M8..
