Going to view a 2005 Focus Tdci tomorrow. I'm looking for buying tips and things to zone in on when looking over.

Please tell me how to check for Diesel Particle Filter errors, EGR vales issues etc?
what to look out specifically and how to check?

honestly mate save your self the hastle. Buy german or japanese. All the faults you have listed are common not to mention a few more. I would buy a bicycle before a ford again! egr, dmf, dpf, injector failure, injector coding, injector pump contamination all things that you will come across in ownership but can be difficult to spot on a test drive and from simply looking at the car, many of them become apparent through ownership and everyday driving. Stay clear is my advice.
wow Steve, you're a right barrel of laughs you are! :P

Yeah he really is fun.Just because he got a bud one doesn't mean you will.It is a bit scary when you buy a new car, reading lots of good and bad things about them means you just put yourself off instead of going for it.
