I have noticed over the past few days that changing gearbox is very stiff, the clutch doesnt feel as if anything is wrong and nothing crunches. I took it to my local garage (not Ford) and he said that my car (05 plate Ford C-Max) has cables to assist it with changing gears then it will probably be it or there maybe something 'messy' in the gearbox!! Its just stiff and eases a bit after Ive been driving a bit...well he quoted the usual it could be £200 and he'll fit me in next week!!

My question is has anyone had this problem before and do cables actually run in the gearbox!!! Is £200 to change these cables over the top!! The car has only done 45K miles.
