As in my previous post I have a 1988 XR3i, which I recently purchased and love but I have found the heater doesn't get anywhere near as hot as it should be.
There is definitely enough water in the system, does anyone know of any common faults with these heater matrix?
Thanks
Harv

if the flush dont work you will have to take the heater matrix out and flush it in the sink thats what i did years ago and it worked 2 pipes of under the bonnet and remove from inside think you have to remove some bits of the lower dash to get at it ??

Or disconnect the hose's under the bonnet, attach 2 hosepipes and flush it through that way.
Big problem with these sort of things is that, if in the past it has had a leaky rad or something, previous owner could have thrown a load of Radweld or similar, into the system. This could congregate in the matrix and block it a little
