Hi, can anyone help diagnose the problem I have with my Mondeo MK4 2.0 TDCI TitX?

I get a knocking sound coming from the front
It's very noticable when the vehicle is coasting from a higher speed going down
Noise increases with speed (but not revs)
Happens more often if I'm steering to the left

Any ideas anyone?

Had a similar problem on a Mondeo mk2 a few years ago turned out to be the cat.
Hope this helps.

it could be either a bearing or a CV joint,or drive shaft

Having done a number of CV joints I would think CV joint.
On or off the power, turning in one direction usually points to CV joint
