The topic title says it all really. Does my Duratec 2.0 petrol engine have a belt or a chain?

Im pretty sure all the current Focus engines are belt drive. Its a shame as the Mk 3 Mondeo engines were chain.

Found this but please dont take it as gospel.

Ka to around 05/06 - ohv, around 05/06 on - cambelt.

Fiesta, Fusion petrol and diesel - cambelt.

Focus Mk I petrol and diesel - cambelt.

Focus Mk II petrol 1.6 and 2.5 ST - cambelt, 1.8 and 2.0 - camchain, diesel - cambelt.

Mondeo Mk III petrol and diesel - camchain.

Mondeo Mk IV, S-Max, Galaxy (06-on) 1.8, 2.0 and 2.3 petrol - camchain, 2.5 - cambelt, diesel - cambelt.
