Hi all,
the Haynes manual suggests swinging the engine forward to give enough clearance for the gearbox to drop past the subframe, however you cant swing the engine enough due to the pulleys pushing against the frame.
Are you supposed to drop both engine mounts? Haynes only states the left hand side needs to be dropped?
Thanks!

It's a tight fit and the gearbox is heavy but it will come out. If put a jack under the engine, undo the top mount and lower the gearbox 2-4 inches it will come out. Once you've lowered the box you can usually tug it forward an inch or two so that it will clear the subframe when you release the final couple of bellhousing bolts.
