got focus 1.6 ghia 53 plate started overheating at 65 mph plus just had CHT sensor replaced as mechanic got that fault code ,fitted the sensor now it is overheating at 40mph plus ,any ideas ?

whats a cht sensor?
check for low coolant first any any airlocks, make sure the fan is kicking in.
after that check the pump is working by seeing if the coolant is recirculating to the bottle.
if thats all ok then maybe start to suspect you head gasket( exhaust smell in the coolant bottle or coolant smell in the exhaust fumes) or get it tested properly.
