Firstly ensue hand brake is tightly in place and car is in gear with engine off and keys removed,
Lie down in front of the grill place the palm of your hand on the lower Painted part of the bumper and the other hand as shown below,

Gently pull the panel from the bumper and work your way around anti-clockwise
inch by inch gently pulling straight not at an Angle,

Ready for the new grill to be mounted you should eventually look like this Picture Below.

My choice of Replacement Grill was the Titanium grill with the chrome lip,

The chrome and the grill are two separate parts which should be clipped together prior to mounting, it is also advised to mount the number plate while the grill is off the car,

To attach the chrom piece to the grill prior to fitting on the car
Gently press the chrome lip on to the grill again inch by inch working you way around the panel,

Once the number plate is fitted to the grill,
Gently line the grill up to the front panel of the car

Starting in the lower right corner gently line the fins of the grill up with the slots around the panel,

When pressing along the bottom of the grill pull the painted panel gently towards you to ensure a tight fit
and also that it doesn't split while your pushing,

Once fitted correctly the body panel at the bottom Centre the thin part should stick out slightly more than the grill,
if it doesn't, your grill is not pushed in enough,

Gently push the lip of the Grill and pull the pannel at the same time until snug

Nice work, Lenny.
I have one question for you: the old grill that you took off the car, can it be used again? Did you break any clips or some fixing parts of it?
I'm asking this because I want to paint my grill grey, like the ones on Mondeo Titanium, and I wouldn't buy a new grill.
Reeda
Fantastic post, this is going to help me a lot. thanks

PS: can you do one for the door panels now, screwed if i know lol :D

I have the old grill packaged up in the attic, i can post it for 25 if your interested, around 3 of the clips are cracked bearing in mind their are 20 clips around the grill and the 3 that are split are not all beside each other.

PM me if your interested in purchasing.

some of them i have taken up to four hours mate,

checking the spelling and uploading all the pictures, then sorting the pictures in the correct order,

but its all worth it in the end, helps others see how to do it and also what envolved before they start,
and their great to look back on :)

thanks for the apprecieation mate,

I’ve updated the first Post of this Guide the Guide to Include a Download PDF File of the Guide.

Figured this would be useful to others being able to print out the Guide and refer to it during the Modification Process.B)

if your grill has the chrome lip then you need to pull the chrome lip instead of the black grill because the grill is seperate to the black grill
but it is the chrome that is clipped to the bumper section.

Thanks mate,
Ive also upgrade the front upper grill, but i didnt create a guide due to some people having difficulty with their bonnet lock after changing grills,
I thought it best not to leave myself open to blame and accusation lol
Its an easy upgrade though, just remove slam panel screws and two from top of grill then pull straigh forwards.
Only tricky part is transfering the screw and spring from the flip badge to the new grill, ensuring the pin on th3 spring stays 8n the corrisponding holes.
TDCiST
i too had a bonnet lock issue... however i know how to fix it!!

I will of course put the standard disclaimer in it ;)

You really need to remove the grill to put the chrome on it
i mean you can clip the the chrome on it, no ?

The Titanium spec grill from ford comes in two seperate parts.
The grill section is just a flat surface and is not capable of being fitted to the bumper without the chrome grill suround.

The chrome suround clips around the specific grill centre, and also clips to the bumper
It is impossible to fit the genuine ford chrome surround on top of any other grill except the specific grill centre from ford.
FordFocusman
Allright you did a great job as usual mate !
vibeone

Well this is embarrassing... can I have more help please?!

I have the titanium trim with the chrome... How do you pull the chrome trim... theres nothing really to pull on?

I've followed the guide (I think) and I can kind feel the clips inside the grill by putting fingers through the grill.. but it seems completely tight. I don't even seem to be close to removing a single clip :(

Any extra advice? How do the clips fix in place, and which way should I be pushing?!

vibeone

I've got this far(!)

Hi mark,
Kneel down at the left hand corner of the grill,
Put left hand on bumper next to grill and hold steady.
Put fingers of right hand through grill to pull the rear of the chrome.
Pull hard with right hand.

1, 2, 3 pull.

Then continue this around the grill,
vibeone

Well I've got it off, but broken most of the chrome clips in the process!

Anyone got a part code / price for the chrome surround (the grill is fine - its just the chrome that I've bust!)
