has anyone ever fitted one of these? the only reason i ask is because i'v been offered the 1.8 ghia x but it needs the gearbox replacing.

i've got a city and guilds in light vechial technology so i'd like to say i'm faily competant just not too familiar with p reg escorts

is it much hassel and do i need any specilist tools?

As far as i know its fairly simple. think its easier if you drop the engine down and undo the bolts there as its very very tight to take the box out when its in place.
By the way these cars go very well so is worth doing. I have one myself.
