Hello i have a Mk2 S plated 1998 Mondeo and the middle rear seatbelt for some reason wont pull out. Any ideas if it can repaired? Or if it can be removed without tearing the upholstry off the seat?? Thanks in anticipation!

Try releasing the back of the seat from the upright position, and slam it back into place. If the locking mechanism hasn't caught properly, it locks the safety belt. Slamming it should release the belt.
It is a common problem. with Mk 1 and 2's

So is the seatbelt locking mechanism physically linked to the upright position lock?
